Andy Pettitte was brilliant the other day as the Yankees won Game 6 of the ALCS, and clinched their 40th pennant.
I just feel the need to point out the huge job that Cano did in Game 6. He made some fantastic plays in the field and even walked twice.
For the record, if the Yankees lost this series, in my mind the goat would have been Jorge Posada. Two what-could-have-been big double plays, combined with many, many mental mistakes this series - as well as in the playoffs.
Finally, good to see that Joba was able to get some important outs there. He was terrible up to that point this postseason.
Well none of that really matters anymore. The Yankees will be taking on the reigning champion Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series, which will start Wednesday night with the CC Sabathia taking on Cliff Lee.
In terms of roster moves, I would expect one. I would not be surprised if they decided to add Eric Hinske back, considering the may need to pinch-hit for the pitchers in NL parks. This would probably be at the expense of Freddy Guzman.
Prediction: Yankees in 4 - Yes I'm being bold here. And a homer. Oh well - it's my blog. I'm allowed to.

Wow. 4 game sweep. Even the most diehard of Yankee fans I've spoken to haven't predicted a sweep. Well, kudos on your faith brother.
