Another game that was winable but lost. This time CC Sabathia did a mediocre job on the mound allowing 5 runs, and the Yankees were only able to pick up two runs off of two bases-loaded-nobody-out situations, which were the reasons they lost this game.
This was a bad way to enter the All Star Break, now three games behind the Red Sox and being swept by the Angels in a 3 game set.
In other news, Sergio Mitre had another good start tonight, so it may make sense to put him in the rotation at the expense of Alfredo Aceves, or if the Yankees are willing to be bold, Joba Chamberlain. I'm saying that it might be for the best for Joba to go the minors, not the bullpen. (I'll post a minor league post later tonight or tomorrow morning.)
