Looks like Melky Cabrera's shoulder injury isn't too bad. He will not start for about a week but can probably pinch-hit if need be. I think that the issue is that they don't want him throwing the ball right now with his messed up shoulder.
If would be crazy if the Yankees didn't DFA Berroa and add an outfielder before tomorrow's game. They can't go into the game with Ramiro Pena as their back-up outfielder.
And if the Yankees can't trust Jose Veras in a 8-0 game, he does not deserve a spot on the roster. They have been patient enough. Cashman, you can cut ties with him now...
