RF Xavier Nady left tonight's game in the seventh inning. According to Peter Abraham, Nady felt a sharp pain in his right elbow and needed to be taken out of the game. Nady said that it was extremely painful and that he hopes that it is just the scar tissue breaking off. He will have an MRI tomorrow.
Would Nady have to go on the DL, some of the options in the minors include John Rodriguez, Shelley Duncan, Eric Duncan, Justin Leone, and Todd Linden; it really is a toss-up who they would go to. No one is on the 40 man roster so they would have to make a move. Or they can just call up Juan Miranda who is already on the 40 man roster.
This will hurt the Yankees as it will limit the number of days off that they can give guys like Johnny Damon. This means that Nick Swisher will officially be playing fulltime, not like he wouldn't be either way.
