According to Mark Feinsand, the 34 year old outfielder wants to return to the Yankees. Oh yeah, he wants a three year deal. I do not see any team giving Bobby Abreu and his weird natural fear of walls a three year deal. I believe he at most will probably get a two-year deal with an option, but maybe some desperate team (*cough* Mets *cough*) will give it to him. The Yankees will definitely offer him arbitration, so if he declines the Yankees get two draft picks. If he accepts, the Yankees get him for another one year deal and might have to trade a hitter.

BaseballAmerica released a list of recently released Yankee minor leaguers. They are "RHP Ariano Fructuoso, RHP Charlie Isaacson, RHP Rolando Japa, C Jared Greenwood, C Luis Robles, C Irwil Rojas, 2B Mark Carroll, SS Danny Cox, OF Evan Tierce."
Clearly nobody interesting or important is being named here. Fructuoso never played, Isaacson hasn't since 2005, Japa hasn't played since 2006, Greenwood since 2007 in High-A, Robles since 2005, Rojas since 2006, Carroll since 2006, and Tierce since 2005. Danny Cox is the only player to play last year but only had 24 at-bats.
