I just thought I'd post a few interesting stats of some former Yankees (rejects).
Scott Patterson: Since being claimed off of waivers by the San Diego Padres he has allowerd fours walks, and one hit, but has K-ed five and not allowed a run so far in three games.
Ross Ohlendorf: 7.62 ERA in 3 major league starts since joining the Pirates.
Dan McCutchen: 4.69 ERA in 8 Triple-A starts with the Pirates; was not called up
Sal Fasano: 12-46 as the Indians' back-up catcher
Wil Nieves: .264 batting average as the Nationals back-up. Not bad for a guy that was close to breaking the all-time record for most consecutive hitless at-bats.
T.J. Beam: 4.01 ERA in 42.2 IP in relief with the Pirates
Scott Proctor: 5.84 ERA with the Dodgers - buy him back low? Used correctly he is most definitely an asset.
Tanyon Sturtze: Had 2.1 scoreless innings with the Dodgers before being released.
Josh Phelps: 7-25 as a backup with the Cardinals.
LaTroy Hawkins: 16 scoreless innings with the Astros. God bless the NL.

You have to be happy for these guys, and wish them nothing but the best. Several of them never would have gotten a fair opportunity with the Yankees! I like the Yankees, but they are more willing to give a has been player multiple chances to succeed, than they are to a young player coming through their own farm system!
God bless the NL indeed. He was a massive mistake—could not handle the AL East at all.
Way to go, Sal Fasano. Glad to see the original 'Stache is still working.
PLEASE BRING BACK SCOTT PROCTOR
